During the last two weeks of my stay, I had the pleasure of working remotely from the farm “Astra Hunting Safaris”, about 100 km east of Windhoek. This remote yet well-equipped farm offered me the perfect balance between work and nature experience.

The farm's infrastructure is generally good, but there were occasional problems with the stability of the internet. Fortunately, these outages were compensated for by cellular service, which meant that I was able to continue to fulfill my work obligations. With a little flexibility and planning, it was possible to remain productive even if the internet connection was not always stable. After work, there were many ways to relax: from observing the local wildlife to cozy evenings around the campfire.

A special highlight of this trip was the celebration of a good friend's 60th birthday, which took place after the two weeks of remote work. Despite the remote location, around 20 guests traveled from Germany and Namibia to celebrate this special occasion. The celebration itself was an unforgettable experience, where we came together with the best food and plenty of good humor and were able to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this unique environment.

The combination of productive work and unforgettable experiences in nature made this time on the “Astra Hunting Safaris” farm a special chapter in my life.
