We leave the tranquil surroundings of Ghaub Guest Farm behind and embark on the next leg of our adventure, which takes us to the picturesque town of Otavi. En route we traverse the scenic countryside, passing rolling hills and fertile farmland that epitomize the beauty of rural Namibia.

We continue our journey and arrive at Cheetah View Lodge, a charming hideaway set amidst the stunning scenery of the Waterberg Plateau. Set against a backdrop of towering sandstone cliffs and verdant bushland, this lodge offers the perfect blend of comfort and tranquillity and is an ideal base for our exploration of the surrounding area.

We take a trip to the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF), a globally recognized organization dedicated to protecting cheetahs and their natural habitat. Located near Otjiwarongo, the CCF is a beacon of hope for these big cats and offers a range of conservation initiatives to protect cheetah populations and promote coexistence between humans and wildlife.

During our visit, we have the opportunity to learn about the important work of the CCF through interactive educational programs, tours of the facility, and close encounters with the resident cheetahs.

Our visit to the CCF provides a fascinating insight into cheetah biology and behaviour, as well as efforts to ensure their survival for future generations, and gives us an insight into the challenges these magnificent animals face.
