Breeding season

After the nest is completed, the breeding season begins at Easter. At first, the tit only sits on the clutch of five eggs for a short time, but after some time and a rapid drop in temperature, we find our little roommate more or less permanently in the nest box.

While the female tit has to feed herself in the first few days, after two days the male starts to bring food. Although the female leaves the nest a few times a day, she returns quickly and reduces her trips more and more.
