Egg laying

After the nest was made habitable and the spring of 2020 was also very warm very early, our tits have laid the foundation for their offspring: within five days, the same number of eggs are laid in the nest.

The first eggs are not incubated either, as the titmice ensure that the chicks all hatch at the same time if possible. Therefore, the first eggs are hardly kept warm - actually only at night - and the titmice only begins to incubate after the fifth egg has been laid.
