In the late morning, part of the group goes on a trip to the AfriCat project, where the project is explained in detail. In addition to basic information about the foundation's goals and work, the medical department is explained and examples of past operations on animals are used to illustrate it. The grand finale is a trip to the "Ambassador Cheetahs", a group of cheetahs who are presenting and promoting the project's successes. Although it is impossible to get out of the car today because of the animals' bad mood, you can get close to them by car.
The other part of the group is resting, swimming a little in one of the pools or repacking suitcases: tomorrow it's time for Crifi and Lukas to say goodbye to Namibia. The rest of us will then drive on, with just one car, to Sigi and Heide's Ombuerendende farm and spend two days there.
Before that, most of us will go on another tracking tour this afternoon: leopards are our goal today. First, we look for a 3-year-old female leopard, whose signal we receive first. Unfortunately, during the hunt it turns out that she has hidden herself on a hill where we cannot get to by car. The chance of seeing one is only 50% anyway, so we lower our expectations.

The journey continues and we change territory. Now the mother of the first animal is our target and we look for the 16-year-old lady near the house of the owner of Okonjima. And after a few detours we find her hidden under thorn bushes. A very beautiful animal that you would never have seen there without knowing the location. The photos from this location are probably more like hidden object pictures, but then comes the finale. As we are about to head back, the lady suddenly stands up, looks us over and walks proudly right in front of our car. It couldn't be better.
Highly impressed, we have a sundowner at an old airstrip and let the encounter sink in. Then we head back to the lodge, where a delicious dinner awaits us - the main course is Oryx Stroganoff.
